What Must I Do To Be Saved?

The answer to your question might surprise you. If you clicked on the link, (I want to accept Jesus as my Savior, what must I do?) the simple truth is, you already have!  If that plea (by clicking that link) came from your heart, you have already accepted Jesus as your Savior because God knows your heart, and what  was in your heart is what compelled you to click on that link!  There are no special prayers or rituals required… you don’t have to walk to the front a church; so how is it you are “Saved?”  All you have to do is Confess with your mouth you are a sinner and accept God’s Grace by believing and accepting that Jesus (and Jesus alone) is the only Sacrifice accepted by God to atone for your sin. If you believe in Jesus, the Son of God who died on the cross, was buried, and rose back to life on the third day; if you believe He did this as payment for your sins and are willing to Repent, (turn away from sinning) You Are Saved!  Yes, it is that simple!

I know that you may be a little confused right now. You may be thinking, “It can’t be that simple can it?” To put you at ease, let us take a look at what the Bible says about how to be saved.

John 3:16-17 (NKJV)
16  For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. 17  For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.

Romans 10:9 (NKJV)
9  that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.

So… if you are reading this because you do believe according to the passages above, I can confidently say to you, “Welcome brother or Sister into the Family of God!”

Your Salvation is Assured!

1 John 5:13 (NKJV)
13  These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God.

2 Peter 3:9 (NKJV)
9  The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.
